Find the path with us towards your solution...

“We’re out of options.” Most of my clients say this when they make an appointment. They come to medical cannabis because they’ve tried everything else, and nothing has worked. Even when pharmaceutical medicines do work, they have side effects that cause the need for more medications. Many patients have quite a list, but the fewer pills you take, the better your own body works. Whether it’s for pain, arthritis, GI, mental health, or neurological issues, people feel they have no choice. Until they get to the point where they’ve exhausted all options, they take pills.

But what if there is a more natural way? A holistic path out of pain and discomfort, where you use your body’s own compensatory mechanisms. Give your body fuel in  nutrition that emphasizes whole foods to minimize sugars, get yourself moving and stretching again, sleep more regularly, talk about your worries, and truly connect with others. You can also find your purpose – which propels everything.

Traditional medicine does a poor job emphasizing this path, because it is not reimbursed by our ‘sick care’ system. Holistic practitioners use this approach with limited results, and it takes a long time. Most people give up because they lose patience. But the good news for you, is that there is a way to expedite the holistic path -  supplementing the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) regulates and balances your cells with more receptors in the brain, organs, lymph, and skin than any other neurotransmitter in your body.

What happens when this system gets disrupted and stops working?

  • Cancers

  • Neurological disorders like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, MS, and seizures

  • Auto-immune disease like Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, and migraines

  • Mood disorders like anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, & insomnia

  • Gastrointestinal distress like Crohn’s and IBS

  • Endocrine disorders like diabetes, obesity, and bone loss

If there was a way to help reset your endocannabinoid system, would you do it?  Every Holistic Caring client wants to answer yes – but with help. Patients can go to the ‘Pot Doc’, get their card to go to the dispensary like all of the recreational users of marijuana. But that system is up for the recreational user that wants to relax – not to guide medical patients who need to get well. Enter your Holistic Caring nurse.

Through our personal assessment process, we uncover what you need to add, or take away to promote healing and wholeness, and help you do so.

Holistic Caring nurses address your:

  • Nutritional intake and make specific recommendations to boost your ECS

  • Movement, range of motion, strength, flexibility and adjust slowly

  • Connection, spirituality, purpose, and ways to enhance your well being

  • Pain – acute or chronic, and create a plan to turn down the signaling

  • Sleep – get you sleeping which is critical to everything else working

The endocannabinoid (ECS) advantage:

This is not easy – but we have an advantage that can help more than anything else you’ve tried. The ECS, or endocannabinoid system can be supplemented. In doing so, you can give your body what it needs at a cellular level, and if you can affect change there, the body starts to heal itself, and your concerns may improve.

The Holistic Caring plan will integrate a personal plan that looks at your:

  • Traditional medical path, medications, and treatments

  • Holistic approaches to consider and adopt

  • Cannabinoid supplements in specific ratios, timing with other RX & ADL's, frequency of dosing

There are pros and cons with everything, and cannabis medicine takes time and tweaking to find what is right for you. Not everyone responds right away, and we will need to adjust based on your body – because everyone has a different ECS. Have you ever smoked pot? If so, you may remember that your friend had a great time laughing and skipping, and you got paranoid and anxious. Same exact medicine but very different reactions. Your endocannabinoid system is set to a different tone than anyone else’s, and we need to find what will balance you.

Taking a combined approach of what lifestyle changes you need to make, and what cannabinoid supplements to try is our 1, 2 punch. Effectiveness is gauged by the week, and we will check in with you to determine what works, what doesn’t, and help you track progress. We’ll help connect you with dispensaries or producers that meet our standard of care with safe, lab tested products that give you the best shot at healing. If you’re going to try cannabis as medicine, and you’re sick, you need supportive guidance. We are the gateway that allows your peace of mind.

Options for medical cannabis – the many ways to supplement your ECS:

  • Tinctures, concentrates, and extracted oils

  • Micro dosed edibles, capsules, and long acting remedies

  • Vaporization, oral sprays, and short acting relief

  • Topicals, gels, and transdermal patches

  • Suppositories allow larger doses of THC to fight cancer with a more muted high

  • A combination approach using everything in spaced dosing

The legal medical cannabis industry in America

People are rightly afraid when they think of medical cannabis. Since 1937 the federal government derailed access to cannabis because they favored the new science that huge corporations made with single molecule pharmaceuticals. In 1970 cannabis was put into Schedule 1 which made it impossible to use as medicine. But the underground movement survived, and people still made folk medicines to heal naturally. In 1996 California passed proposition 215, which ushered in the system that started the medical cannabis industry of today. California passed proposition 64 in 2016, and cannabis is now recreationally legal, but there are still hazards. There are safeguards for you as a patient, and we will help you stay safe, compliant, and on the right side of the law.

Over 20,000 medical studies on cannabis exist in the National Institute for Health’s database.

We’ll research your specifics and combine field knowledge from various sources and help you make a logical plan.

Polling shows 81% of American’s favor medical use, and 61% favor recreational use of cannabis. Though the Trump administration is anything but clear on the issue, American’s want  access to this plant, and alarming conditions of our healthcare system portray a crisis.   There are no easy options as costs escalate, cancer cures don’t cure, and 125 people die every day from opiates which doctors increasingly won’t even prescribe. Heart disease, cancer, stroke – the top 3 conditions in America can all be helped by getting the ECS to work again in reducing inflammation, inducing apoptosis, and providing neuroprotection.   People realize that their own health is in their own hands – like never before. Be smart about your approach.

High deductible plans are now the norm. Covered California offers deductibles this year of $6,300 for an individual, and $12,600 for a family. RX deductibles are separate! You pay your premiums, and then shoulder all the costs before insurance kicks in. It makes sense to have this path, because it give you the best shot at healing with the least cost, and the best opportunity to truly heal.

You have a right to try cannabis as medicine. Holistic Caring is the path – people won’t try cannabis as medicine without help.
